How to Start
The first step to start your exercise journey is to contact us by phone, email, or by filling out the contact form at the bottom of this page. We will contact you and answer any questions you might have about starting in home personal training. If it sounds like a good fit for you, we can schedule a time for your free assessment and initial exercise session.
Before your first session we will send you some paperwork to fill out. This includes a health history form and a waiver. These forms can be sent to your email or brought to your first assessment.

Initial Assessment
We start with an initial assessment for each client. The assessment itself is free and usually lasts around 30 minutes. This is a time for Phoenix Fitness to learn more about you and your goals. All assessments are done in person in the comfort of your home.
An assessment has a few purposes. Most importantly, it's a time for us to get to know more about you. We want to make sure to have all the important information about your health, exercise interests, past experiences with exercise and future goals before we start your first session.
We also offer an optional exercise baseline test during your assessment. This is a series of 10 exercises that give us some basic data on your current baseline of flexibility, cardio, balance, and strength. Some clients enjoy having an initial starting point of data to look at. This can help you see progress over time. Others prefer to not focus as much on the numbers, and just enjoy the process of feeling stronger and accomplishing more over time.
First Session
After your initial assessment, you will have the option to choose your session length (Either 45 or 60 minutes). Your first session will take place after your initial assessment unless you are planning on training with a partner. If you are training with a partner, both assessments will be completed together but the first training session will need to be scheduled in the future.
The first session will involve a warm up, a workout, and a cool down. Warm up almost always involves dynamic stretching and movements that will best support your workout. The workout consists of the exercises that will be most beneficial to you. The cool down will usually be stretching, mobility exercises and/or foam rolling.
Payment is accepted before or after each session when you are buying a single session. If you are buying a package, we ask that you purchase the package before your sessions. For more information on payment, please check out our Sessions and Pricing tab.
Future Sessions
Some people enjoy having a training session once a week at a consistent time. Others prefer to schedule more or less. Depending on your location and availability, together we will come up with a plan that best works for you.
